Fashion trade fair Bread & Butter
The Berlin trade fair Bread & Butter was long considered the leading trade fair for urban streetwear and was taken over by Zalando in 2016. Also known as the “Festival of Style and Culture”, all those interested in fashion and lifestyle were invited to Berlin-Treptow every year. In 2019, however, the fair was discontinued. Zalando co-chief David Schneider told “Handelsblatt”: “Everything we invest in and try out has to take us forward strategically as a company and be scalable at the same time. We simply reach natural limits with ‘Bread & Butter’. That is why we will no longer organise a trade fair.”
