M. Müller & Sohn Magazin 05-06.2026
Professional Magazine for Fashion and Pattern Making // Sleeves // Business Bermudas // M. Müller & Sohn Online Academy // Pattern: Wet SuitsDeutsch
The magazine specialized in fashion and pattern making is published six times a year as a turnaround edition with topics on women’s and men’s fashion. The magazine is available for download in English. Each issue of M. Müller & Sohn magazine contains an enclosed sewing pattern.
The current issues womenswear section opens with the Designer Look »No Wedding Dress«. Showcasing clean, romantic and contemporary alternatives to the traditional bridal gown, it proves that tying the knot does not always require a dress. The portrait features Marcus Priester and his label INDNAT. At the heart of the story are trousers as a space for constructive experimentation between function, reduction and durability – and a designer who has deliberately stepped away from the relentless pace of the fashion industry. The pattern technique section focuses on summer sleeve variations and common fitting errors. Topics include the impact of different sleeve cap heights and the ideal fit of raglan sleeves for varying arm widths. Under »Briefly Introduced«, we feature Yulex® – a natural rubber developed as a serious alternative to petroleum-based neoprene, combining performance with environmental responsibility. In the Knowledge feature, we explore what contemporary buying and wearing habits reveal about today’s cultural mindset. We also announce the launch of the M. Müller & Sohn Online Academy later this year, as well as our technical college Open Day on September 19th 2026. The womenswear section is rounded off with the industry directory.
The menswear section begins with the Designer Look »Summer Coats«. Lightweight, atmospheric outerwear styles demonstrate how elegance can carry through even on overcast summer days. In our interview feature, Gabriel Stunz speaks about his work in the Frankfurt atelier, his approach to materials and a quiet radicalism that redefines tailoring. The pattern technique is dedicated to business bermudas, showing how classic menswear can be reinterpreted for summer. In the feature Industry + Craft, we examine what AI can genuinely contribute to fashion design and product development today – and where its limitations still lie. Antje Christophersen of Hochschule Niederrhein and Carl Tillessen of the German Fashion Institute share their perspectives on the current state of the industry. The menswear section concludes with industry news focusing on intangible cultural heritage and living craftsmanship.
The enclosed pattern sheet includes surfwear for women in sizes 34 – 50.
