The magazine specialized in fashion and pattern making is published ten times a year as a turnaround edition with topics on women’s and men’s fashion. The magazine is available for download in English. Each issue of M. Müller & Sohn magazine contains an enclosed sewing pattern.

On the women’s fashion pages we show dresses and blouses with artistic collars. Whether as an oversized version, a childish peter pan collar, an elegant bow tie or a historically inspired ruffle collar: the new collar creations are eye-catching and effective. Next, we introduce you to producers and retailers of fabrics and accessories who want to promote change with the goal of eco-social standards in the supply chain for the production of sustainable and fair clothing. In the pattern technique you will find instructions for the pattern construction of four blouses in plus sizes. Starting on page 27, we introduce you to founder Janina Waschkowski and her maternity fashion label Nove. It’s about maternity fashion that can be worn before, during and after pregnancy and is made from sustainable fabrics.

On the men’s fashion pages we show you menswear with a workwear look. Workwear is becoming high fashion: elements from workwear such as large patch pockets, coarse zippers and buttons, buckles, latches, hooks, visible seams, leather details, inserts on shoulders, elbows, bottom and knees are being used more and more in fashion. Jürgen Zinsmeister, Managing Director of Stoeffler GmbH (producer and supplier of pattern paper), explains what to look for when choosing pattern paper and which pattern paper is suitable for which purposes. Starting on page 8, we introduce couturier and bespoke tailor Carlo Jösch. A native of Chile, he runs a custom tailor shop in downtown Cologne, where he makes suits and coats as well as kilts to order. In the pattern technique you will find pattern designs for guild clothing: a pair of guild trousers with vest as well as the guild shirt. You can get an insight into the 99th edition of the Florentine fashion fair Pitti Immagine Uomo starting on page 24. Instead of taking place at the historic Fortezza da Basso in the heart of the city, this year the menswear fair was held completely digitally. The virtual platform Pitti Connect offers national and international exhibitors the opportunity to get in touch with trade visitors and press representatives until the beginning of April.

The enclosed pattern contains a trouser suit for women (in European sizes 36 – 46).
