The magazine specialized in fashion and pattern making is published ten times a year as a turnaround edition with topics on women’s and men’s fashion. The magazine is available for download in English. Each issue of M. Müller & Sohn magazine contains an enclosed sewing pattern.

On the women’s fashion pages in this issue you find the top trends for blouses and trenchcoats for the upcoming season. Fashion is returning to the essentials and expressing a desire for longevity and deceleration through smaller collections with strong classics. Starting on page 8, we introduce the visionary Brigitte Pappe. The power woman from the Mosel is a business economist, textile artist, certified tailor and founded the Academy of Clothing Makers (Akademie der Kleidermacher) in 2017. In the pattern making part we give instructions on how to construct a basic pattern block and the model modification for a trenchcoat and three different blouses. Afterwards you will find instructions for a decorative application with bead embroidery.

The menswear pages show the new trend suits in oversize style. The new shapes of menswear: over-long jackets, extra-wide double-breasted jackets, box-shaped jackets, wide sleeves that extend beyond the wrist, wide, padded shoulders, large, square pockets that are set into super-wide deep pleats. The Fabric Trends for Autumn/Winter 2021/22, from the Fabric Days in Munich (event of the Munich Fabric Start) can be found starting on page 6, followed by a guide on how to avoid unsightly fit failures in the lapel collar. In the pattern making part, we will deal with the trendy trousers Selvedge Jeans. Here you will learn what makes these jeans so special, how to construct the pattern for these pants and how to grade them into different inch sizes. The following is a tutorial to sewing a shirt sleeve placket: We show you a quick way to sew the classic miter sleeve placket. This placket is used for shirts, blouses and jackets, but can also be worked into T-shirts as a polo shirt placket. A small insight into the exhibition »Peter Lindbergh: Untold Stories« you will get on page 25.

The enclosed pattern contains three different vest types for women (in European sizes 36 – 46).
