The magazine specialized in fashion and pattern making is published ten times a year as a turnaround edition with topics on women’s and men’s fashion. The magazine is available for download in English. Each issue of M. Müller & Sohn magazine contains an enclosed sewing pattern.

On the women’s fashion pages, we portray fashion designer Linda Herrmann, who reflects on both inherited trauma and her family’s handicraft preferences as part of her graduation collection, creating a collection that gets to the heart of the matter psychologically, aesthetically and in terms of craftsmanship. Since talent alone is not enough to be accepted at a fashion school, the former designer Silke Geib, after several years at well-known fashion houses, uses her wealth of experience to support young professionals in the career guidance service “ABOUT:FASHION”, which she founded. We also present the latest developments in sleeves and, in keeping with this, we have selected eight sleeve models for you in the pattern making section. In addition, you can deepen your knowledge of processing straight hem-corners.

On the menswear pages, to kick off the year we show you the latest developments and trends from the Pitti Immagine Uomo which is back again live and in colour. In the column »Fashion is political« we shed light on the relationship of responsibilities in the field of exotic animal skins, because the sales market for the (supposed) piece of luxury is staggeringly large. On the positive side, however, more and more research is being done into ecologically sound alternatives to cowhide. For example, Mexican entrepreneurs Adrián López Velarde and Maria Cázarez produce leather substitutes from cacti. On the catwalk, the year gets off to a relaxed start for men, with wide-cut trousers combined with loose coats, parkas and shirts in a layering look offering casual freedom of movement. To match this, we have prepared various models of pleated trousers for you in the patternmaking section that look smart and modern without sacrificing comfort.

The enclosed pattern contains two basic blazer blocks for women (in European sizes 36 – 50).

This issue contains 60 pages.
