The magazine specialized in fashion and pattern making is published ten times a year as a turnaround edition with topics on women’s and men’s fashion. The magazine is available for download in English. Each issue of M. Müller & Sohn magazine contains an enclosed sewing pattern.

On the women’s fashion pages you will find inspiring dress creations, with which we and our customers can hopefully get dressed up again after the lockdown at an outdoor wedding or party. This is where elegant minimalism meets nostalgia and romance. Light flowing fabrics, natural materials and precious lace are the focus. Voluminous sleeves are an important theme. Many creations are also decorated with elaborate handwork such as plissée, smocking, discreet embroidery and small draperies. In the portrait that follows, modiste and advocate of craftsmanship, Fiona Bennett, shows us the processes of hat making and the magic she creates with her hands in the Berlin hat atelier. In the pattern technique, you’ll find instructions on pattern construction for four different wedding dresses or festive gowns. Afterwards we show you how to make your own custom gloves. In this article you will find instructions for taking measurements, pattern construction and processing.

On the men’s fashion pages we show you trendy summer fashion in check pattern. Whether as a light men’s blouson, shirt in 90s grunge style or as a classic summer suit – check is trend! Afterwards we introduce you to the work of Munich designer Detlev Diehm. DIEHM BESPOKE DESIGN brings casual elegance with a nuance of contemporary dandy look in handmade bespoke suits. In the pattern technique, you’ll find instruction on the pattern construction of shirts for stocky sizes – reinterpreted and detailed for a modern look. Starting on page 19, we look at weaving, a craft with a long history. In an interview with Udo van der Kolk, we find out how he combines the old and the new and thus preserves the knowledge of weaving as a traditional craft. In his historic weaving mill Egelkraut, high-quality brocades and damasks have been produced on historic looms since 1922. We report on the “city of bobbin lace” starting on page 22. In the Italian community of Offida, the manufacture of artistic bobbin lace has a long tradition. Finally, you will get an insight into the costume department of the Burgtheater in Vienna.

The enclosed pattern contains two denim jackets for women (in European sizes 36 – 46).
