These corset skirts<\/strong> accentuate the feminine body shape. Due to the high waist and a push-up effect with ruffles on the bottom and hips, the underskirt has the function of shapewear, which forms the body and lifts the fabric of the dress worn over it in the right places. The slim waist and feminine hip and buttock lines are the focus here. In order to highlight the specific characteristics of the X-line dress or the hourglass silhouette, these functional lingerie have been developed in the form of underskirts with a strong push-up effect.<\/p>\n

Particular emphasis is placed on a line with an accent on feminine curves. These patterns were inspired by seams of the historic corset from the Middle Ages as well as Cul de Paris and the Krinoline. These figure-shaping bodices are not only suitable for lingerie \u00e0 la Moulin Rouge for burlesque ladies or costumes for live action role playing (LARP), they also look good under a petticoat dress or dirndl dress.<\/p>\n

The patterns are built according to the modular system, so that different variations can be constructed from a basic pattern by selecting different detail solutions. The hip and buttocks parts are characterized by the use of flounces, ruffles and frills. In contrast, highly elastic materials in the waist and belly areas lead to a shaping and tightening effect. The skirts are sexy and playful, they shine an irresistible femininity. This young, flirtatious look is additionally achieved by the decorative use of lace, satin, velvet and other glossy fabrics in strong colours. Later, pearl embroideries and lace borders can be sewn by hand on the fabric of the finished bodice to make the model look more valuable.<\/p>\n

Use a close-fitting skirt pattern for stretch fabrics as a foundation. Draft the basic pattern depending on the stretch of the material either without any ease additions included or even with a percentage reduction of the width measurements. The basic pattern is the foundation of all following skirt designs.<\/p>\n

The variations are designed using the modular principle and derive from each other. Theshaping seams are identical in the first three designs. The designs vary by different style elements such as different waistline styles, flounces, ruffles and frills. Draft the basic skirt pattern as shown in the illustration. Mark the length depending on the length of skirt with 36 – 40 cm.<\/p>\n

Draft the style seams as illustrated. Relocate the front and back dart intake to the front and back style seam. Equalize the seam lengths and draw the new waistline. Mark 18 cm for the side length of the flounce. Measure the length of the flounce seam on the front and back pattern. Draft the flounce pattern piece with this measurement.<\/p>\n

Copy all pattern pieces. Draft the flounce pattern according to the measurements of the front and back pattern and mark the cutting lines as shown in the illustration.
