It is worn not only for practical reasons, to protect against wind and weather, but also for fashion considerations. In ancient times it was found among Persians, Parthians and Scythians. Since the Bronze Age (1800-720 BC) the hood was attached to a throw-over coat, the hood coat. Greek phallus figures also show a hood cape. In the early Iron Age a hood made of fur served miners as protection, celt. Kukka (one of the oldest testimonies of working clothes). In the 14th century it was highly fashionable for men in the form of a collar hood, the Gugel.
