Front and Back Pattern<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Use a basic dress pattern in size 146 (size 10) as a template. Trace a copy of the front and back pattern up to the waistline. Trim the shoulder 0.7 cm and lower the neckline. Plot the neckline and the collar. Draw the princess seam lines and transfer the intake of the waist darts to the seam lines.<\/p>\n

Mark 0.7 cm intake at the back princess seam for a better fit at the armhole. Equalize the seam lengths. Mark the bust dart as pinching amount. Draw a cutting line from the bust dart to the princess seam. Plot the lace collar 2.5 cm wide parallel to the neckline. Mark the lace appliqu\u00e9 on the front pattern.<\/p>\n

Sleeve<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Use a basic one-piece sleeve in size 146 as a template. Remove half of the dart intake at each sleeve seam and draw the new sleeve hem. Draw the sleeve flounce according to the illustration. Mark the cutting lines.<\/p>\n

Trace a copy of the sleeve flounce piece. Extend the sleeve piece in two steps. First, slash and spread the sleeve pieces evenly 2 cm apart at each cutting line. Then slash and spread the sleeve piece again for the finished flared width at the hem.<\/p>\n

Flared Half-Circle Skirt<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Measure 1\/3 waist circumference on a vertical line downward and mark the waistline Position of the flared half-circle skirt. Measure the skirt length with 86.5 cm from the waistline downward and mark the hem. Now draw an arc with Pivot point at the starting point over the waistline and over the hem. Use a waist tape measure with a pencil as a circle. Shorten the upper skirt 3 cm at the hem. Square out to the right from the starting point and mark this line as the centre back at the intersection with circular arcs.<\/p>\n

Verify the width at the waist. This should be identical to the waist of the bodice with \u00bd the waist circumference plus 2.5 cm ease. The skirt pattern is cut twice. Transfer the position of the seam lines from thebodice to the skirt pattern. Mirror the front pattern over the centre front. Draw the cascade with 18 cm upper length on the styleseam. Mark the cutting lines for the gathers and the hem flare.<\/p>\n

Tiered Skirt<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Draft a tiered skirt with asymmetrical ruffles as underskirt. Copy the full-length skirt from sideseam to sideseam. Front and centre back line are identical. Plot the flounces as shown in the illustration. Mark the seam line for the backing pattern. The two upper flounces are cut up to the waistline. The two lower flounces are sewn to the backing.<\/p>\n

Separate all pattern pieces. Cut through the front pattern from the princess seam to the bust point and close the bust dart. Blend the seam lines. Slash the sleeve flounce six times and spread the sleeve at the hem as shown in the illustration. Draw the new hemline. Mark the gathers at the sleeve cap line. Cut the fabric Strip for the bow. Blend all seam lines. Mark the grainlines. Sew a zipper into the centre back seam.<\/p>\n
